$1000 per megapixel

Hasselblad H3DII

Words cannot even describe the amazing detail that the new (39 Megapixel) Hasselblad brings to the party. Not only would most photographers never need all that detail, but most photographers couldn’t even afford this sports-car-priced camera not to mention the hefty price tags that come along with the lenses. So if you see one of these in the wild you can count on the owner being either awesome OR a total douche.

Gummy Bearskin Rug

gummy bear rug by Yaya Chou

Ok… Before you say anything, I know that this was new almost 2 years ago. But, I showed this to my friend Joody today and she was like, “Mmm! makes me want to munch on the rug.” That is perhaps the perfect response to seeing this picture (if you don’t get it here is a hint)

This Gummy Bear Rug was made by artist YaYa Chou. More info can be found on the artist, this particular piece and other cool art (like a gummy bear chandelier) here.

A different way to get an “Iced Grill”

frozen smiles ice cube tray by Fred

I think that post title is pretty funny (punny?). If you don’t get it then you should clicky clicky.

These are probably the “coolest” (pun intended) ice cubes i’ve ever seen. They would go perfectly in clear bubbly sodas (think “plop, plop, fizz, fizz.”). Check them out on world wide fred or buy from one of these retailers.

“Maiden” Flight of Ed Force One

Iron Maiden’s custom Boeing 757Iron Maiden’s custom Boeing 757

Iron Maiden are going on tour in a custom Boeing 757. The jet holds all the crew and equipment, and is being flown by none other than Maiden’s frontman Bruce Dickinson. The plane looks pretty cool, but part of me wishes the whole plane looked a little more like the paintjob on the tail (I am thinking in the style of 80-90’s van murals). Read more about the plane and the tour via ‘The Sun’.
